Buffy was created with a simple mission — to make sunscreen something you actually want to use.
As parents, beauty lovers, and sun chasers, we were tired of messy lotions, greasy hands, and the daily sunscreen battle with kids. So we set out to create something smarter: a mineral SPF powder brush that’s effortless, elegant, and designed for real life.
Buffy’s lightweight, translucent powder glides on smoothly, giving you high-performance sun protection with a soft, natural finish. It’s perfect for quick touch-ups — from the car to the playground to the café — and gentle enough for every age and skin type.
We believe sunscreen should feel as good as it looks: clean, classy, cool, and kind to your skin. Buffy is proof that daily protection can be simple, stylish, and a little bit fun — for you and your little ones.

About Audrey
Audrey grew up in New York — the land of bright lights, big energy, and zero gumboots — before meeting her charming Kiwi partner Joel, in Europe and following love (and curiosity) all the way to New Zealand. Now she’s living her very best countryside life just outside Matamata, wrangling two little boys (Boston and Chase), a growing collection of farm animals, and whatever spontaneous adventure the day throws her way.
She has a degree in Design and Advertising, a lifelong love of art and creativity, and a brain that never stops generating wild and wonderful ideas. Since moving to New Zealand, Audrey has added branding, marketing, and “let’s totally launch a sunscreen company” to her list of passions.
Audrey is the visual magic behind Buffy — the imagination, the colour, the storytelling, and all the “what if we…” moments. She’s the one who shows up with a camera in one hand, a half-finished coffee in the other, and a giant grin because something fun always seems to be happening. Organisation may not be her superpower (thank goodness for Catherine), but laughter, creativity, and spontaneous fun definitely are.
About Catherine
Catherine grew up on a dairy farm in rural Waikato and has never been far from the land she loves. These days, she and her husband, Rhys, run their own farm just outside Matamata, where early mornings, muddy boots, and fresh air are all part of the charm. She’s mum to Mackenzie and Hudson and somehow manages to balance school runs, calf-rearing, and hosting Airbnb guests — always looking effortlessly polished while doing it.
Her background includes globe-trotting adventures, a Bachelor of Sport and Leisure, a postgraduate diploma in teaching, and over ten years as a rural professional in the dairy industry. Catherine brings grounded energy, common sense, and genuine care to everything she does. She’s organised, thoughtful to her core, and the queen of a smooth, well-run day — the perfect match to Audrey’s creative whirlwind.
Catherine’s outdoorsy lifestyle and her love for practical, sun-safe products helped spark the idea for Buffy — because sun protection should be easy when life is busy. She’s happiest with family, animals close by, and a well-earned espresso martini at the end of a long, sunny day.
